1- Robert Miles – Children

This songs reminds me of my childhood (adolescence), and my first trip to the USA with my parents! I got the record at Virgin Store on Time Square, and I listened to the song every day of my stay in the States… A musical milestone!! 

 

2- Nas – The Message

1996 was  a very relevant year in my life, and a big bunch of American stuff infected a lot my music taste, so NAS is the King (my opinion) and this was my fav song, soundtracking that time! 

 

3- Oasis – Champagne Supernova

UK classic, Stylish, Psychedelic, defo my uk band!!

 

4- The Fugees – Ready or Not

A never commonplace classic, I tried for year to let my drum kits have the same feeling.. in vain!  

 

5- Daft Punk – One More Time

This is super ingenious & fascinating! This track can bring me back to the these days and keep me full centred at the same time, a music reference point for my career!

 

6- Martin Eyerer – Hey Hey Get Ruede Hagelstein

This is not a real representation of what I do in my songs, but, I don’t know why, I got a lot of inspiration listening and listening again… weird.. I know, but.. that’s it!

 

7- Stephan Bodzin – Singularity

It’s usually to say “this track rocks!” , well yes.. according to me, this track rocks! Uplifting my day anytime… tireless listening! 

 

8- Rodriguez jr – Radian

Hard to find a fav song from Rodriguez Jr discography, I love him and his wide range of flavors, a real and unique trip, a real talented musician, and I’m a big fan! 

 

9- Giangi Cappai – Dust From The Moon

Could not miss a track from my mentor, motivator and good friend Giangi, With his music, he is like a story teller, hugging listeners like a fluffy cloud!

 

10- Lucio Battisti – Ancora Tu 

Another song from my childhood, reminding me of my lovely Dad, and his common sentence: “go ahead with your passion and you will be paid back”… precious words, printed in my soul! 

 

Foby – Inverso EP (Label: OGU Records)

Italian artist Foby is next up on the OGU Records label with two terrific new tracks, while label head Giangi Cappai serves up a remix, and it comes after the Foby – OGU Sessions live tour back in summer.
Foby is a live act, producer and mastering engineer who is inspired by his Sardinian homeland. He imbues his music with the island’s magical atmosphere and his refined technique always brings plenty of nuance and invention to his grooves. He played live all summer, constantly tweaking his show, and brings those experiences to the new tracks here.
Opening up is the excellent ‘Inverso,’ an involving six-minute journey into deep and brooding house. His rumbling synths are layered over dark, rubbery drums and the mood is perfectly spare. Sharp claps and further frazzled synths add texture to the trip and ensure you stay locked in. Next up is ‘Tina,’ another hugely accomplished cut with broad synths sweeping up into the skies. The drums are minimal, meaning the exquisite melodies takes centre stage and bring real adventure to the house rhythms.
Completing the vital package is label head Giangi Cappai, who offers a take on ‘Tina’ that is utterly compelling. It’s a spacious and subtly epic affair with poised synth lines echoing out into an expansive night sky. The build is enthralling, and subsequent breakdowns once again build the tension and are sure to lead to huge reactions.
