Back To Mine with elshuffles

London-based electronic artist elshuffles is making a return; releasing his second album, ‘Who Bang The Noise’. The album follows 2021’s ‘Disinformation Party’, and while his debut was a collage made up from a few years of exploring different instruments and sounds, ‘Who Bang The Noise’ takes a different direction, depicting the melting-pot nature of London life across influences from techno, ambient, drone and electronica. DMCWorld goes back to mine with elshuffles.

Daniel Avery – Together in Static

This track is so soft and understated by I thats what I love about it – its brought me to tears numerous times. I cant tell you why but it must be connecting with me in some special way. Daniel is true pioneer and someone I look up to.

Loscil – Motoc

I could have included so many Loscil tracks, Ive seen him live a few times and its so powerful. You’re transported to another place the music tells a story. Listening to Loscil’s album I often used to think how he made his tracks and he used field recordings a lot. This definitely encouraged me to do the same in and around London.

Blawan – Toast

This track is like nothing else! I mean how does he even get those sounds. This is someone who break down boundaries on what music is and hes making it into something very special. The video is wicked also.

Tool – Schism

Tool have been my favourite band since the 90’s. If you know you know!!! If not you should.

Haai and Jon Hopkins – Baby, We’re Ascending

I love the vocals in this, and then the beat is so good. I haven’t heard it out yet but I reckon it would go off!

Radiohead – No Surprises

Everything about this song is beautiful. the intro, the vocals. I remember when it first came out I was blown away and I still am now every time I hear it.

Overmono – Good Lies

I saw these guys recently, the show had such a great energy. I love how they produce the vocals and how they fit into the track without taking over.

Portishead – SOS

I love Portishead they were one of those bands that sounded like nobody else. Part of me has big respect to them for not making any new music, if they are not feeling it then it won’t mean anything.

Tricky – Aftermath

I could have chosen lots of other tracks from this album. I saw Tricky recently and he was immense, the performance was super powerful. He’s one of the coolest guys around. The drums that uses and the way his vocals merge with other female vocals works so well.

Tricky - Aftermath

Tori Amos – Winter

This track is so powerful, if you can watch the live performance. Its like she was put on the earth sing and plat piano. Its soft, yet tough and remaining playful throughout.
