Why is Ibiza still the best party location in the world?
“It still attracts music lovers worldwide all under one small umbrella of super clubs, still breaks tracks and showcases the best DJs/producers from all over the world. ”
Ibiza is now split straight down the middle with serious DJs spinning quality house and techno on one side, and DJs playing the big room bangers on the other. Discuss…
“They are separate worlds. One side is marketed and driven by big sponsors and brands and the other side comes from the heart and soul.”
What new party caused the biggest splash in their debut summer this year?
“Neon nights by Diynamic at Sankeys because they presented all their producers Djing and playing fresh music from their amazing label throughout the entire summer. They have produced parties for the people and kept it real. ”
What is your favoruite restaraunt and beach on the white isle?
“Favourite restaurant is Es Pi dor in Cala Gracioneta and favourite beach Cala Conta. ”
Do you think the 123 Rocktronic Festival that featured the likes of Lenny Kravitz, Elton John, Sting, David Guetta and Tiesto this year is an important addition to the Ibiza summer, or do you think it is a case of one too many party on an already bulging season?
“I think the 123 festival was brilliant. I only saw Lenny Kravitz but it was truly amazing. There is definitely room for this festival and it can´t be compared to any club nights. I just don´t know why it didn´t happen before. It was a huge project and I think it will be even more successful next year. ”
What is the one record that will always remind you of Ibiza…?
“‘Your Love’ by Frankie Knuckles .”
Best venue in Ibiza?
“The best venue in Ibiza is the beach. ”
A lot of money has been spent on the island in recent years improving things, what do you think is the biggest improvement on the island?
“The best improvement has to be that it is now kept very clean. ”
What nationality are the craziest people on the dancefloor?
“Not sure…all the Europeans mixed together. ”
Breakthrough artist of 2012?
“Solomun.”
If you had to pick one person to go out clubbing with in Ibiza, who would it be?
“My friend Scott who is one of the bar staff from Es Vive. ”
And finally, tell us about your first trip to the white isle…
“My first trip to island was when I was eleven years old, so too young to go clubbing but I fell in love with Ibiza and moved over here to live 6 years later to become a resident DJ. ”
