Tune
Such a hard question, but for me I think it has to be “Kungs – This Girl”. It was a huge track in my sets for
months, amazing track. Well done Kungs.
Album
Again, super hard question. But I have to give this one to Eric Prydz for his “Opus” album, for me this album was
special. It motivated and inspired me in many ways, and anyone that knows me knows how much I look up to
King Eric.
Remix
Easy question “Eric Prydz – Generate (Kolsch Remix). Anything that Kolsch does is amazing, but this was 10/10.
Label
So many great labels, I don’t think there is certain ones better than others as all good labels are great in there own
ways. But for me, I would have to say Spinnin’ Records. Being an artist on Spinnin’ I get to see the work/effort
that goes in to the label, and it’s quite amazing.
Breakthrough label
Again, lots of new labels coming through all the time. I am going to say “Cartel Recordings” which is the new
label of Kryder & Tom Staar. I really respect the movement these guys are creating right now.
Producer
So many to name, but I have the same answer every time someones asks this question. It has to be Eric Prydz.
Festival
Because I’m from the UK, Creamfields is a festival that is very special to DJs from Britain, so for me it’s
Creamfields. The energy is simply amazing.
Music Conference
ADE week, such a fun week filled with conferences/meetings/interviews/parties etc.
Radio Show
Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1 is a great show, I am always tuning in to hear his new world exclusive tracks,
guest mixes etc. He also gave my “Keep It Comin’” single a world premier back in January, thanks Dan.
MainStage DJ
The Chemical Brothers. I saw them live 4-5 times and each time they blow me away with their live shows.
Incredible talent.
Resident DJ
Andrea Oliva for ANTS at Ushuaia in Ibiza, this guy is amazing. And for me the ANTS party is one of the best
parties in the world.
Club
I have played in so many amazing clubs this year, and so many still to come. But the highlight for me is Amnesia
in Ibiza, what a venue.
New Studio Equipment/Software
Spire. I’m not sure it’s overly new but I am new to it. So many people have told me about Spire for months now
and I just recently got round to using it. I was missing out, amazing plugin.
Personal highlight of 2016
Hmmm, so many. This year has been amazing, from signing with Spinnin’ Records/MusicAllStars, to supporting
Bakermat on some of his tour shows. I also played a b2b set with Kygo at an afterparty in Ibiza which was pretty
cool. I also signed a new management deal with Bluevent Group which for me was a big step, and one I’m very
happy with. Shout out to Thierry on that one.
Your ambition for 2017…
To keep progressing, releasing music, touring, seeing the world and most importantly having fun.
