Where’s your hometown/where are you from?
London

How did you get into music? What were your early musical influences?
Dan: I Used to live in Africa and loved all my pop’s African albums
Chris: My brother used to be a DJ and had tonnes of great old records

What/When was your first foray/break into the dance scene?
When we were about 15 we went to our first club called Whirlygig in Old St Town hall… Dogs and hippies, what a great start!

How did you think of the name?
Jesus wept… it took so long… WE vetoed most words in the New Oxford Dictionary over a period of three months and after a trip to outer borders of insanity we finally arrived at THE JINKS

Any particular driving force behind your music?
Other people’s great music

Where do you think the future of house music lie?
With The Jinks and their exclusive brand of fresh fresh produce

How/when did your new release come about?
We loved what the label did with the first single so we thought if it ain’t broke…

How did you get involved with MN2S?
They liked our tunes and we liked the cut of their jib

What’s in store for 2005 & beyond?
We have another load of great tracks lined up with MN2S including a reunion with Ricky Collins the vocalist from our debut single “Love Like This”

How’s the music scene in London different from the US?
The soulful house in US is a lot deeper…us Brits are bringing back the FUNK!!!!

Do you think it’s hard for a DJ to be a great producer and vice versa?
No…We think it’s essential, it’s all part of the same thing…one helps the other
