The DMC DJ Championship 2010 London Heats this Saturday!
This weekend DMC are gearing up for the final heat in another huge nationwide search for the best turntablists in the country to go on and compete in the UK finals and then the epic World Championship spin-off!
For the third year in a row London’s finest underground club kings, Urban Nerds are welcoming back the DMC crew as the hunt for a London champ commences! In true Nerds style, this year the party’s taking place in an incredible two-floored warehouse spot in the heart of Shoreditch, East London! As well as the unmissable DMC heats, expect big showcase sets from the legendary Cutmaster Swift and audio visual don, DJ Woody. Master MC Inja is back in the house with some live goodness too!
Upstairs there’s a first for clubland as U-Stream smashers The Funhouse broadcast live from a club night for the very first time, with an exclusive mammoth five hour takeover to mark a year of the biggest hip-hop stream to hit the net! The unstoppable DJ MK, Harry Love and Martelo will be doing their thing on the 1s and 2s, catching jokes and bringing their unique house party vibe to this year’s London heats and we can’t wait!
Nerds wouldn’t be Nerds without some major warehouse rave beats and bass! This time one of 2009’s biggest breakthrough dance producers is top of the bill after smashing the Urban Nerds NYE rave to pieces with his banging bass, breakbeat and house led mash-ups. Redlight returns!
Joining Redlight is a very special last minute edition to Saturday’s line-up, in the form of special guest DJ, Doorly! The Ibiza Rocks resident and Annie Mac favourite will be destroying the dance floor with electro and bass led chaos, alongside UK house and funky madness from Rinse FM founder and underground pioneer, Geeneus alongside the striking live vocals of Katy B and the fire tongued MC Tippa! And you know it’s a rave when Nerds residents Rattus Rattus & Klose One are in the house alongside the mighty Tomb Crew for UK bass, dubstep, electro, garage, grime and the rest, ready to rock the Funktion 1 sound system to the max. Party time? We think so!
