FOG
10TH AVENUE FREAKOUT
LEX

Andrew Border’s nerdy, elusive and reclusive behaviour makes Fog a creature of throwaway cunning, eccentricity of great concentration, and paradoxes seen through shoegazing eyes (“Jesus Christ is my American Idol, he’s the new Funky President” and seeing “neon pink werewolves” but two of his tomes). Mixtures of unfixed guitar, noodles, sparks-flying spanners, rickety drum loops, college rock, piano-lead sobriety thinking aloud in solitary confinement (the sombre ruminations ‘Song About a Wedding’ and ‘Small Burn’) and orderly oddity (‘Hummer’ doing a 10CC) make Fog the voice of a perplexing generation.
