The wordy album title may not inspire greatly, but this cinematic collection of works from Mark Pritchard and Dave Brinkworth is effortless and vivid in its portrayal of imaginary pictures. The duo employ a large range of instrumental colours, with the use of a harpsichord making ‘The Shapeshifter’ sound like it’s straight out of a black and white horror flick, while ‘Marionette’ takes on the appearance of a macabre musical clock, wound down at the end. Ambient, but disquietingly sinister at the edges.
