John Dahlback proves his versatility with a generous album package, containing the long player itself alongside a selection of remixes. Inevitably ‘Pyramid’ makes a big impact, fronting the record, but as we progress Dahlback reveals an impressive versatility, moving from punchy house to the more laid back, poppy electro of ‘Honeywell’, the slightly wistful ‘Everywhere’ and the cool, deep ‘House Of The Archipelago’. Towards the end are signs of a bit more experimentation, and ‘July First’ works well before ‘World Of Love’ goes a bit more trancey. It adds depth to Dahlback’s approach, and makes repeat listens more rewarding – with something here for pretty much any house head. Excellent stuff.
