Studio’s second yearbook is a collection of remixes, but it’s shot through with their style in such a concentrated way they’d have every right to call it their second album. All of which is great news for those who enjoyed last year’s ‘West Coast’ long player, spinning out their ideas in a blissful Balearic haze. Similar things happen here to tracks originally recorded by Kylie, Love Is All, Shout Out Louds and A Mountain Of One, whose ‘Brown Piano’ is the pick of the seven here and makes a carefully constructed opening track. Studio have a very relaxed way with their music but when you break it down the structures are incredibly well defined, even over the course of a ten minute track, as in most of those here. One for dreamy summer afternoons.
