Ten years ago the Ministry’s ‘Annual’ seemed like a groundbreaking concept, the first of its kind. Now there’s something rather tired about the end of year knees-up, although it does represent a chance to get some of the biggest commercial hits together on the same comp, even if the mixing is inappropriate at times. The familiar suspects are Bob Sinclar, Tom Novy, Audio Bullys, Goldfrapp and Uniting Nations, but there are just enough under the surface moments from Hard Fi, Tiga and Haji to keep this out of the doldrums.
