CARL COX
GLOBAL
RESIST

Right now top notch compilations are, as I said the other week, gushing like a bullet elephant’s bunghole. It’s not enough to mix a few faves together on a computer. There has to be personality, passion and immaculate selection to create something extra-special. This is why Carl Cox’s latest sortie into the field fits the bill so well. Rather than be part of the gush, Coxy would rather ride the bull elephant. Over two CDs, Carl showcases his Global concept which has involved his radio show and round the world gigs. He has never been into dance music segregation so here you’ll find anything from the minimal techno of Eyerer & Chopstick to Digital Killas’ heavy tribal or modern acid house with Eysser’s ‘Mono-Logs’ to the old school classic ‘Different Styles’ by String Theory. There’s 27 tracks and 27 highlights- the biggest being Carl’s ‘Spoon’ tribute. All cutting edge styles are here with the fact in common that they rock the party. There’s also a DVD of Carl’s travels.
