It’s about time…but here he is, DJ T stepping up to the decks to kick off Fabric’s second century of mix compilations. And he does a very fine job, mixing cyber funk with house, techno and touches of soul to such effect that the ear never wanders, and the feet rarely stop tapping at worst. Choice cuts include skilful blends of tracks from Danton Eeprom and Matias Aguayo, Will Saul and Dave DK and DJ T’s own ‘Try To Understand’ into the Crazy P mix of Mujava’s ‘Township Funk’. Throughout there’s a real sense of the music living, breathing and going on a voyage, and it comes home just in time to press play and start out all over again.
