Deep house fans are in for a treat with this seamless mix from Luke McKeehan, backed with an unmixed selection of gems from Vancouver-based label Nordic Trax. McKeehan builds an atmospheric set, drawing on Kelvin K, Pete Moss and Gavin Boyce for a mix where it’s difficult to spot the joins. Jay Tripwire’s ‘Body 2 Body’ is an excellent track, as is Kelvin K’s opener ‘Wanting You’, and when you get to the end of the set it’s difficult not to press play again. The second CD offers unmixed versions of the tracks on the mix, but adds Pete Moss’s rather fine ‘Big Move’ and the Late Night Society’s ‘Back To The Bump’, among others. There’s long-drawn satisfaction to be had from this release, the Canadians moving from strength to strength.
