Ministry of Sound have always made decent chill-out albums, and so it is with this bumper triple pack, a nice bringing together of some of the genre’s finest tracks. Admittedly there are a few duds though, and the way Sebastien Tellier’s sublime ‘La Ritournelle’ collides with Basement Jaxx’s ‘Romeo’ and, er, DJ Sammy on CD2 is less than satisfying. For the occasional oddity though there is plenty of good stuff, and on the same mix Finley Quaye, FC Kahuna and Andy Votel’s mix of Badly Drawn Boy’s ‘Once Around The Block’ make impressions. Elsewhere Dubtribe Soundsystem, Etienne De Crecy, Lindstrom, Simian Mobile Disco, Koop and Sub Sub are interesting additions to the expected Orb, Leftfield and William Orbit tracks. Excellent value.
