Jeroen Verheij appeared in the 90s spearheading a vibrant strain of Dutch house seemingly marinated in its own hallucinogenic sheen. Under names including Grooveyard, Point Blank and, of course, Secret Cinema, he released a string of club monsters which predated tech-house but it still at it, starting his gem label before Christmas to showcase new talent while he also builds a growing name for himself as a knowledgable, passionate DJ. This deftly-woven set previews upcoming releases by himself [‘Glad Chord’] and Egbert’s upcoming ‘Haasten’ EP, woven into a dynamic, glistening barrage by names including Jamie Lloyd, Big Bully, Norm & Jochen Pash, Andreas Saaq, Christopher Benjamin, Cyro, Tim Deluxe and Itamar Sagi. Great to see the man still firing on all cylinders.
