One of London’s best club nights catches itself in the mirror again, with this pair of excellent mixes from Smith and Priestley, dressed like cricketers on the front cover. Both do a great job of capturing the Secret Sundaze vibe in the course of two hours, and Giles Smith kicks off with a real toe tapper, thanks to help from Mr G via Radio Slave, Motorbass, Two Armadillos and Ron Trent and Chez Darnier. Priestley goes for chunkier, more 80s influenced beats to start with, with Rune Lindbaek’s Lindstrom collaboration ‘Alien In My Pocket’ and James Pants’ ‘We’re Through’, before upping the ante with Guy Gerber, The Rapture and Omar S’s excellent ‘Psychotic Photosynthesis’. Both mixes are of the seamless style we’ve become used to from this pair, and both are shot through with the blissful feeling you get at a Secret Sundaze event. If you’ve been even once, you’ll go for this.
