Plenty for your money here – two CDs mixed by Royal Sapien and a bonus set from 40Oz (Chris Fortier). Recorded in Brooklyn, the Sapien pair generate plenty of beat-fuelled energy, strong house music with a moody slant. CD1 is a touch more ambient in approach (Fortier and Tonepushers especially good) while the second disc gets firmly grooving with Steve Porter and Frank Harmony Park. The mixing is good, with few breaks unless deliberately planned, in which case they make quite an impact. Recommended for fans of the EQ ‘Balance’ series especially.
