A second series for the successful Underground Sound Of… and a set of three discs or one continuous mix that takes the party from 2am forward past 8am. Listening to all three back to back is the recommended way to go, as you get a strong sense of continuity between the three, and an idea of the ebb and flow the best mixes can have. The roll call is strong, starting with Omid 16B’s ‘Heart of Silence’ and including Charlie May, jozif (‘Tell Me, Sell Me) and Dave Angel’s ‘Nightwalker’. As night turns to day so the mix cools, and that means star turns for Stelios Vassiloudis, Quivver and finally Robert Babicz. Meanwhile new label recruits C-Jay and Brad Wilder acquit themselves well. It almost goes without saying that John Digweed’s mixing is immaculate, but even though it is he still has a natural instinct for letting the music breathe and sound human. Because of this you can feel the Mediterranean heat from first beat to last.
