They’re hanging out the bunting in Berlin, as with Sonar Kollektiv’s 200th release comes Compost’s 300. It’s a fine selection of tracks, too, with a bold opening track from Marbert Rocel, Sepalot strutting through with the Innocent Sorcerers remix of ‘Inspirations’, and some slinky slow disco from Karma – ‘Beach Towel’ getting a wash from I:Cube. As is the way with these generous compilations most of the material is previously unreleased, which means the gorgeous string tones and vibrant crossrhythms of Wojtek Urbanski’s ‘Violet Violin’ is an extra bonus. An expensive month for lovers of these two labels, I’m afraid!
