EMERY WARMAN – HEAVY DUTY DOLLS (VIVA) (13/05)

Emery Warman is a fast rising tech house talent. He is a Hungarian who has been working away locally for years but is now making an impact on the wider scene. His tunes have picked up heavy support from Marco Carola and others before now, and here for his latest he serves up some top treats on VIVa.

Heavy Duty Dolls goes first and is a squelchy infectious number that proves the man has a great grasp of groove. Then just as excellent King Kongas flips the script and is a more funky, playful, bouncy track with ‘house music’ vocals up top adding to the party feel. A Wade remix of this one is more stripped back and physical with bumpy beats and airy hi hats making for a rugged ride. That’s The Way is then the third original from Warman and is stuffed with firing vocals and clever effects that make it really jump out the speakers. Last but not least, No Matter What is a deeper roller with paddy drums, big breakdowns and loopy grooves all designed to keep the kids dancing. Warman has a wide variety of sounds in his arsenal and this new EP proves it.
