If you like a bot of feel good, well-sampled and classically inclined house that skips like a nursery school girl, this new EP from the sinnmusik label is for you. Behind it are producers Adrian (Barcelona based, Dutch born producer) & Georgi Barrel (a German talent who holds down resident DJ duties at ARM) and between the experienced duo they invent three firing tracks that any decent DJ needs in his bag. There is plenty of skippy soul, space age squelchy funk and bass line driven goodness about opener Back2Bass Kicks. It brims and bristles with organic and live sounding elements that all make you wanna dance. Next cut The Way is a little more direct and quick, with sharp hits, ace synth funk and clipped vocal stabs all bringing sweaty intensity to the warm house arrangement. Finally, the ecstatic Jersey Love with its crushed hits, bobbling, bulbous bassline and classic samples might be the bets of the lot – it’s a derivative tune for sure, but it sure does capture house music in all its glory.
