Tobias Thomas delivers the last episode of a trilogy of mix cds he initiated in 1999 with ‘Für Dich’, the first Kompakt dj mix ever. Don’t expect a saturday night fever-type comp though, this is more of a monday morning chilled out affair that starts off with Eno-inspired ambient (Pantha Du Prince, Adolf Noise) and stoned jazz (Krause Duo) until the laidback 4/4 beats and hypnotic synths kick in (Ricardo Villalobos, Reinhard Voigt, Johannes Heil). Covers of The Smiths and Fleetwood Mac close this journey just to remind you that pop music too has its place in after-hours.
