‘Running’ explodes across the stereo like Disco’s excitable child, funky clavinets in hand accompanied by inexcusably funky drums. Jan Schulte aka Bufiman from Dusseldorf knows how to squeeze every shot of energy via this sassy arrangement that falls just short of an addictive five minutes. ‘Kalvier’ adds eastern flavours into the mix next alongside its more gently shuffling percussion to again inspire you. The more out there, ‘Bonobeat’ ends by beginning with a reversed recording that soon escapes into a powerful tribal-funk jam, which fuses meandering spacey synths in amongst the heavy drum rhythms and occasional vocal snippets to great effect.
