It’s been 20 years since New York’s soulful legend Arnold Jarvis unleashed his debut single ‘Take Some Time Out’ on 4th Floor Records, hailing the start of an incredible journey which included classics such as Satoshi Tomiie’s ‘And I Loved You’ and Swing 52’s ‘Color Of My Skin’. Fast forward then to 2007 and Arnold unveils his long awaited second album ‘Love & Life on his own record label Music For A Lifetime (MFL). This double CD is a collection of stunning new and classic tunes written and performed by Arnold, and produced by the greats in ‘soulful house’ including Little Louie Vega, The Basement Boys and Kerri Chandler among others. Disc 1 is a beautifully blended album, edited by one half of production duo Lee Cabrera, Albert Cabrera. While Disc 2 is seamlessly mixed by DJ/producer, Frankie Feliciano. Aside the soulful classics such as ‘Love Of My Life’, ‘And I Loved You’, ‘Let Love Slip Away’ and ‘Life Goes On’, this masterpiece includes new upcoming singles ‘Justified Love’ (Fuzion Records), ‘The One’ (Seasons Limited) with new mixes from Phil Asher and 83 West. Among the new and noteworthy titles is the groove-heavy track ‘If I Stay’. A ‘Love & Life’ is yet another testament to the astonishing power of Arnold’s voice and creativity, an artist who’s demonstrated permanence and relevance, and established himself one of the most important vocalists in the dance music industry today.
