Two captivating productions from Dino Lenny go to make-up this latest from the Crosstown Rebels offshoot. Neither are for the faint-hearted with the opening title track, ‘Don’t Believe’ unveiling a dark, brooding sequence of sounds that find themselves somewhere between the edge of House and Techno. Never knowing quite what to expect next only adds to the anticipation as expansive synthesisers play off occasional vocals and suitably tough beats. ‘Plastic Men’ comes next with another creative arrangement in full swing as gritty basslines lose themselves in amongst the unforgiving synth lines and striking, expressive vocals. Music moving forward.
