Krewella – Alive (Henrix/Moore/Cherry Cherry Boom Boom/Boogie Nights Remixes) (Columbia)

After dominating the blogs and gaining traction on radio with their debut single “Killing It”, Krewella makes a very strong statement with their latest follow-up “Alive”, featuring four massive club remixes from fellow American up-and-comers “Henrix”, “Moore”, “Cherry Cherry Boom Boom”, and tech-house destroyers “Boogie Nights”.

Chicago-based Krewella gets a little bit of help from Atlanta’s “Moore (www.facebook.com/mooreofficial)” and Miami’s “Henrix (www.facebook.com/henrixmusic)” to show the rest of the world that melodic club anthems can come out of America sounding just as massive as the ones known to come from countries like Sweden and Holland.

Rounding off the “Made in America” package, Los Angeles-based “Cherry Cherry Boom Boom” puts the cherry on this freshly baked cake and adds his own signature mix with his alternative bass-line-driven remix of “Alive” and “Boogie Nights” make a stormer thats sure to see the day of light in Ibiza this summer.

Built around the trio’s trademark melodic female vocals, Henrix and Moore build two massive club remixes that would hold their own in any club or festival around the world.

If Nicky Romero and Tommy Trash had a bastard child who happened to follow in the footsteps of both his (extremely talented) fathers, then that bastard child would most likely be Moore (www.facebook.com/mooreofficial). Moore’s remix brings out the melodies of the beautifully-written Krewella vocals in the breakdowns and combines them with an aggressive high-energy drop the that is destined to destroy dance-floors everywhere.

Henrix (www.facebook.com/henrixmusic) might still be a new name, but with his remix he shows off his ability to put together a well-produced progressive club smash. Layering simple (yet effective) melody lines under the cross-over vocals, Henrix is able to create a mix that works just as well on radio-shows as it would in nightclub sets.

Cherry Cherry Boom Boom (www.facebook.com/mkcherryboom) adds some contrast to the package with his alternative progressive mix. Built around a strong bass-loop vibe (reminiscent of Far East Movement “Like A G6”) and some rhythm guitar, Cherry Cherry Boom Boom adds a dimension to the song that could not be found in the dubstep-based original.

Rounding off this remix package is Boogie Nights (www.soundcloud.com/itsboogienights) that follow up their massive underground mix of Dev- In the Dark with a tech-house dub mix that’s sure to see the light of day in Ibiza before the summer ends.

With this strong remix package (and more to come), “Alive” is destined to breathe even more life into the quickly growing careers of Krewella, Henrix, Moore, Cherry Cherry Boom Boom, and Boogie Nights.

Look out for the full package due out on Columbia (release date TBD).
