The amazing MANDY return to Get Physical with Gizmo – a tearing, technicolour techno double header with shades of Dennis Ferrer just ever so slightly colouring the edges of their production picture. It’s got more drama then an electric thunderstorm on the motorway in the dead of night. Flipside, ‘Montagsmaschine’ is a polyrhythmic toe tickler, that breathes and swells, rises and falls, and blows jets of water through a Moby Dick sized blowhole just for show. Complex patterns of synths, instruments and effects dart in and out like fish shoaling in the depths to make you dance whilst you’re listening and listen whilst you’re dancing. It’s a rare treat that’s over too soon.
