It’s hard not to fall for this seemingly effortless piano repetition that hints so well at American Minimalism on the EP’s stand out cut, ‘Paint The Sky’. But then talking its own language is exactly what the instrument is best at, sometimes as here unaccompanied by much save some beats and occasional voices for added ambience. The mood enhancement continues with the deeper, slightly tougher sounding ‘Seven’ which neatly blends haunting keys together with smoky, deep grooves. Leaving the title track to end the release with further explorations into mood and atmosphere as crackling tribal rhythms are accompanied by thought-provoking soundscapes and more finely tuned piano.
