SCISSOR SISTERS
FILTHY / GORGEOUS
POLYDOR RECORDS

Arguably these guys should now be in the “Mainstream” section now, given their current celebrity status and all round pulling power. Fair enough, but if you play house, or occasionally dabble in the current eruption of nu-disco jams, then you’ll definitely find something in the Sisters’ latest release to satisfy you and your dancefloor’s wants. First up, Jacques Le Cont adopts his Paper Faces guise, spinning out a delightfully retro turn – it’s Studio 54 remodelled with extended blonde highlights, the falsetto vocals the cream on top. Next, Martini Bros throw in the 303 for some deeper prheeked out business. Finally, the party overload original wraps up the package in true hedonistic fashion. So gorgeous it’s positively filthy.
