Both Tim Cullen & Made By Pete have released individually on this label before now, but here they team up to even greater effect. The track they provide is Full English and it comes on the Grin Recordings label, which has long been turning out essential, full fat house sounds for energetic dance floors and this in fact marks the imprint’s 48th release. The track is a no messing, full blooded affair that has airy hi hats and rubbery drums making out a rooted groove. Off this all manner of action takes places, from ditty melodies to malfunctioning machine sounds, from big fat synth sweeps to rattling bits of tin pot, DIY sounding percussion. There are also plenty of diva wails and dark male vocals that all make for a bristling, brooding house atmosphere. Drop it in the club and watch them go off!
