Think this could quite possibly be the single of the summer for me. And as you’ve undoubtedly already heard this being played out then you will know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s that deadly combination of those infectious yet nagging synths coupled with Angel’s drifting vocal delivery that place this in a class all of its very own. The words summertime, beautiful and uplifting go some way to describe the feelings this song and carefully crafted production from Yousef readily generate. It’s difficult to recapture the spirit of the original so Jimmy Edgar doesn’t try to but instead gives it a deeper slant lending the vocal more space supplemented by fizzy chords on an excellent remix. Francesca Lombardo then deepens the mood still further with a techier sheen and vocal treatments on an equally impressive remix, while Paolo Rocco finally strips is all down to the bare essentials reinvigorating the soul of the song with dark bass and beats.
