“Ulysses” sees the grooving return of Scotland’s trendsetting foot stompers in fine style. Opening with disco influenced hip swivelling bass and building “let’s get high” luring lyrics, before launching into the trademark Franz Ferdinand heads held high all singing all marching choruses. Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve lead the remixes with a brilliant spaced out number, jam packed with plenty of old school influences that get treated to a large dose of future thinking electrickery and simmering sonic chemistry, that simply won’t fail to cast you under it’s spell. Superb.
