Shy Child
Criss Cross
Wall Of Sound

It’s been a few years since we’ve heard from Shy Child, but the New York duo are back with a forthcoming album, set for 2010, and to tickle your taste buds, they’ve served up this cut which is an aural feast in itself. A low slung slinky groove forms the backbone of “Criss Cross”, driving layering electronics and Pete Cafarella’s vocal harmonies, leading up to a swirling mass of hip shaking intoxication, and just when you think it’s time to come up for air, some stoned hippy chick starts talking about her time in bands, whilst the room starts to spin around her. A mind blowing funky epic that takes the New York post punk disco ethic to new heights. Dance yourself dizzy.
