Six piece Manchester outfit The Travelling Band have really gone and delivered the goods this time round. “Sundial” is a joyous part country, part celtic, part rock anthem, that oozes soul, with The Travelling Band building and layering their vast array of instruments into their own powerful and slightly melancholic distinctive sound, working up an irresistible vibe around the celebratory refrain, “If I had a home to call my own, then I wouldn’t need a sundial to stop me roaming around”, swelling and soaring to a gospel tinged crescendo. The Travelling Band are heading for big big things. Brilliant.
