‘Moon Song’ has got a certain early New York ZE flavour to it, as They Came From The Stars I Saw Them sing in a slightly bonkers, but melodic fashion, over off kilter percussive funk that’s held together with a low slung bass. The result is a charming song that’s a tad mischievous and a whole lot of fun. On the remix front Serge Santiago delivers a superb slab of tripped out techno at it’s best, while Holy Ghost keeps the New York late 70’s/early 80’s vibe going, giving ‘Moon Song’ a Danceteria/Talking Heads/Tom Tom Club feel. Mongolian Jet Set, King Of Town and Weird Knights also deliver. All in all an extraordinary song with a great set of mixes.
