The White Noise honcho has kept ’em coming all year and, while reverberations continue to be felt from ‘Coming Up’, ‘Ocean Trench’ and ‘New Dawn’, here comes another gem to maintain the impossibly-high standard and detonate a few y-fronts in the process. He’s donned his snorkel again for another gorgeous subterranean voyage dominated by this resonating revolving door noise emission which ebbs and flow, twining around a deep Reese/Slam-style bass snake. As it gets busier the riffs and production touches like reverbed snares recall early 90s Weatherall-Holmes with a touch of Frankfurt. If that wasn’t enough, up-and-coming Florian Meindl turns in a stonker of a remix, strip down to a skittering groove to build a haunting glistener sprinkled with Detroit-jazz flourishes. What next, an album?
