Hell
The Disaster
Gigolo

This is more a public service twang of the old jockstrap than a review as this mighty single has already appeared as first taste of the veteran techno titan’s upcoming Teufelswerk Album but it’s only just appeared as a promo so deserves a mention. Of course, Hell needs no introduction to the point where electronic dance music devotees look to him for the next move or at least something which will upset a few applecarts. Produced by Hell, &Me and Mijk Van Dijk, ‘The Disaster’ certainly does, an epic which pays homage to nothing less than 3 Phase’s 1992 Love Parade anthem ‘Der Klang Der Familie’ with its wind-tunnel panting motifs which are then joined by deep, rising chords and all manner of relentless trickery. There’s also a dark, chunky remix from Ink & Needle of Tattoo Records. Apparently the album’s another milestone; this towering sonic edifice can only stoke anticipation to shorts-soiling dimensions.
