I Monster’s “Daydream In Blue” is one of those records that’s almost impossible not to like. Compiled and recompiled on a score of albums in recent years it’s the epitome of laidback cool and the perfect chilled bar groove. Now re-sung by Nubian songstress Jill Scott and intertwined with Lupe Fiasco’s ghetto fabulous rhymes, the nu-classical string underscore have never sounded brighter on a record that still sounds like a lost Rotary Connection master.
