1) Raw Shape ‘Body Rock’ (Villanova)
This is what I call ‘electrofied’ house, warm synths, anthemic drops, a bouncy bassline with a cool delayed vocal. A great set opener.
2) Funky People ‘Waiting 4 U’ (White)
Been around a while now, but still can’t get enough of it. Samples a Jacko line from ‘Say Say Say’ (that’s right, the one with Sir Paul McCartney no less) then hits you with a belting synth & bassline. Never fails to rock!
3) Antoine Clamaran ‘Let’s Get Together (Club Mix)’ (Dos or Die)
Great ‘last track of the nite’ material from Monsieur Clamaran, not sure of the sample, but a wonderful production. Strings, Vocal and Brass galore!
4) Floor Faction ‘Blanc Ceiling (Jonnie Polyester & K Boy Mainroom Mix)‘ (Blackbooty)
Loved Blancmange’s ‘Living On The Ceiling’ since I was kid and was always pestering the DJ at school disco’s to play it.
5) Rick Wilhite ‘4 The Love of Music’ (White)
Interesting white which samples Italo Disco legend Gino Soccio and builds with a superb sax and vocal.
6) Junior Jack & Kid Crème ‘Private Tools # 2 (Eddie Thoneick Mix)’ (Egoiste)
JJ & KC do it again for me with this one with rising star Eddie Thoneick adding his four pennyworth!
7) Dead or Alive ‘You Spin Me Round (Jonnie Polyester re-work)’ (CDR)
Just beefed up the bass drum and tinkered with the arrangement a bit. Not exactly rocket science!
8) Unknown ‘Touch My (80’s Electro House)’ (Silver)
Dunno who did this, what the sample is or nothing, but I’ve been dropping it on a regular basis for the last month or so.
