Butch – El Camion (Moon Harbour Recordings) (29/06)

Butch knows how to kick out the jams. He is a real hit maker who has released his ware son a wide range of labels from Cocoon to Sei Es Drum. Now he steps up to one of the most vital tech house labels in the world, Moon Harbour, run by Mathias Tanzmann in Leipzig, with two more stunning cuts. A remix from Ellroy completes a fine package.

El Camion kicks us off with nine minutes of tantalising tech hose that has loopy bass, gloopy synths and muttering vocals all stitched into the groove, It is compelling and sure to make an impact this summer. The remix is a more playful thing with a great use of filters and bass kills to keep on sucking you in. Last of all, Vente Con Papi is another fulsome tech jam with slick drums and bass, rippling percussive patterns and curious hooks that really will have dancers latched on. Once again then this is a top release from both Moon Harbour and Butch.
