I recently recorded a Classic House Mix for my followers and therefore took a research into the vaults of my record collection. I discovered, that beside having tons of material from usual suspects like Masters At Work or MK, Mood II Swing took a really essential part in getting me closer to House Music-I would even say that their polished productions made me learn from them alot, techniclly and musically. Of course Lem Springsteen was one half of Mood II Swing and with “A Nu Day (Welcome),” he once again proves why he remains one of the most respected architects of House Music . Teaming up with the unmistakable voice of Imaani, this release is an inspiring fusion of deep musicality, heartfelt songwriting, and impeccable production that radiates warmth from beginning to end.
The Original Mix unfolds with effortless elegance, combining lush harmonies, organic percussion, and a rich House groove beneath Imaani’s captivating vocal performance. Her delivery is both intimate and uplifting, perfectly complementing Springsteen’s sophisticated arrangement. The result is a timeless record that speaks of hope, renewal, and new beginnings without ever sacrificing its dancefloor appeal.
The accompanying remixes elevate the release even further. Reel People inject their trademark live musicianship and soulful refinement, transforming the track into an uplifting house anthem filled with warmth and groove. Cubanix, on the other hand, explores a deeper, more hypnotic direction, crafting an immersive club interpretation driven by infectious rhythms and subtle atmospheric textures. Each remix offers a distinct perspective while remaining faithful to the emotional core of the original.
Throughout the five-track package, the production quality is exceptional. Every mix feels spacious, polished, and organically alive, allowing the musicianship and vocal performance to shine.
