The brilliant collaboration between UK Soulful House producer Paris Cesvette and vibrant New York vocalist Amy Douglas, ‘Give It Up’, gets a dope make-over courtesy of Detroit’s Byron The Aquarius, who brings his unmistakable jazz-infused deepness to the King Street label. Byron’s take on the song is all about fluid movement, loaded with loose, soulful percussion, rich keys, and a warm, rolling groove that flows around Amy’s soul-drenched jazzy vocal. It’s a subtle and deeper reshape that shifts the mood into deeper territory with the focus still very much aimed at the dance floor.
