Released last week but then how could we let this gem escape the attention it so richly deserves. It seems strange that despite being only the labels fifteenth release Visionquest have had such an immense impact on club culture. This collection continues that theme with Laran Lane and Jaw (from dOP) stunning ‘Lazer Eyes’ twisting funky bass and percussion across cool vocals and beats. QBeck’s excellent ‘Alice’ follows in a deeper vein featuring Julia Govor’s vocal over moody electronics while sounding gorgeous in the process. Clarian, finish with ‘All Over All Kinds’ which has more in the way of dreamy vocals, this time over rougher drums and electro synths filling out the spaces.
