The first non-Slacker release on Jukebox In The Sky comes from one Natalia Data and initiates a move towards electro (it’s in the air this year). With a handful of remixers on board, there’s pretty much something for all DJs in this package. Best mixes of the lot are the Cut The Bitchin (ploddy acid in stripped-down mode with soft F vox and ‘Voodoo Ray’ perc), the SCSI9 In Out (a haunting reggae-house re-rub with a western spaghetti flavour) and Rhythm Code’s Special People (a more conventional tribal groove with lovely breakdown).
