Lifted from Goldfrapp’s extremely successful second album ‘Supernature’, this 2 x 12″ bumper package comes in a very fine set of mixes. Francois K & Eric Kupper are up first, with solid & polished house beats, plus a percolating synth line that Cerrone would be proud of, working it’s way around the melody & complementing Alisonâs vocals a treat. FK also delivers a stripped back tough electro mix in the form of ‘FK Disco Whores Dub’. The ‘Serge Santiago Re-Edit’ goes on trip round the mean streets of late 70’s New York, creating a powerful ‘Assault On Precinct 13’ vibe, with pimps & pushers making deals in the neon lit rain. Last & definitely not least, Soma’s Ewan Pearson comes up with 15 minutes of sleazy disco that goes off on a tangent. You gotta give Madonna a pat on the back for good effort, but Alison Goldfrapp is the real deal.
