It seems hard to believe that this is only Metronomy’s second single, as he’s definitely been one of 2006’s success story’s. 23 Year old Joseph Mount aka Metronomy has already remixed Franz Ferdinand, The Young Knives & Roots Manuva among many other hip bright young things, I think it must be down to his distinctive clapped out AND cute style. ‘Trick Or Treatz’ is wierded out creepy disco, that crackles and pops around a hovering slightly spooked vocal, that entices you into it’s dusty clutches. Remixes come from South Central, who give ‘Trick Or Treatz’ a post punk booster which features a dance floor stomp breakdown, and The Klaxons who stay very close to the original. You’re definitely gonna be hearing a lot more of Metronomy.
