In it’s original form Land Shark’s ‘Shake Me’ is a nod back to the early days of Mute and Fast records, with it’s sparse and slightly industrial feel, which works a treat. However it’s the vocal that really gets under your skin, with shades of Marilyn Manson, Bauhaus and Cabaret Voltaire springing to mind. French producer Sweetlight who records for Trevor Jackson’s Output Recordings provides the remix, adding a 4/4 with some sleazy disco moments. One for the eyeliner & hairspray brigade.
