New Zealand’s Pip Brown aka Ladyhawke now resides in our grand capital city, and is due for a rather large amount of success. “Dusk Till Dawn” is instant, with it’s “do do d doo do do d doo” choruses, 80’s keyboard riffs and driving beats, it’s got indie electro pop anthem written all over it. There’s also a good set of remixes, which includes The Shoes who give it some extra clout and overload fizz, whilst Linus Loves goes for big lush pads, and Simon & Shaker strip it back, house it up and generate a bit of a French Kiss vibe. You’re going to be hearing a lot more of Ladyhawke, the word is her debut album is also very good.
