Back To Mine With Honey Dijon

After hours grooving…

01. Roberta Flack & Donny Hathaway – Where Is The Love
I get so emotional when I hear this song. I literally have to sit down when I hear it. The vocals, the lyrics. Magic. I miss songs that were about love and life instead of getting your drink on at the club.

02. Candi Staton – When You Wake Up Tomorrow
I love disco. Proper disco. This is so sexy and beautiful and the lyrics are about falling in love in the moment of an amazing one night stand. I love timeless lyrics.

03. Billy Frazier – Billy Who?
OMG!  The vocal delivery and the drums! So sexy. The break is so intense. I love a correct disco/ funk downtempo jam. The strings! SEX! SEX! SEX!

04. Jill Scott – He Loves Me
What more can be said about Jill Scott. You have to see her perform this when she breaks into her operatic vocal range. CHILLS! She is by far one of my favourite vocalists!

05. Erykah Badu – Out My Mind Just In Time
My other favourite vocalists in the world! I love it when she gives you three songs/stories in one song. She really is the high priestess/shaman of soul music for me. She keeps it real!

06. Stevie Wonder – Go Home
I love Stevie Wonder. Who doesn’t. I love his eighties period. This was his last Top 10 US hit. He is probably one of the most prolific artists to ever walk the planet. Synth heaven and the chessy drum machines from the eighties sound so right!

07. Heaven 17 – Let Me Go
I love early synth bands from the 80’s and Heaven 17 we’re one of the best. Sleazy, sexy, and completely modern. Still sounds great today 30 years later!

08. Grace Jones – Slave To The Rhyhthm
Grace Jones changed my life. Grace Jones and Trevor Horn changed my world! I have no words. Hugely influential to me as an artist, musician, and human being.

09. Prince – Tambourine
Couldn’t find a You Tube video for this because it is on of Prince’s quirkiest and wierdest tracks ever from his Around The World In a Day album. That is one of my favourite albums.

10. Sade – Cherry Pie
A beautiful song from one of the most beautiful women in the world! End of story!
